Susan Flores' Yard Dug Up.

Santa Maria Times Article
On Wednesday, May 23rd, Susan Flores yard was finally dug up and Kristin's remains were not found. I, of course, am not privy to all the behind- the-scenes machinations - but I will share with you what I know.
First off - it is a massive crime in and of itself that it took 11 years for this to happen. The initial warrant to look for Kristin on Susan Flores' property was executed on June 20th, 2000. That was four years after Kristin vanished. The information included in that warrant was based largely - if not solely - on info that was gathered way back in the first few months after May 25th, 1996.
Why it took four years for the first search to take place is a question all on its own.
During that search - the yard was never dug up. Law Enforcement merely used Ground Penetrating Radar and decided it probably wasn't such a good idea to dig up the yard. The explanation given to us by the SLO Sheriff's department was that the warrant did not permit the yard to be dug up.
That was not the truth.
I personally spoke with the FBI agent who told me he was very unhappy with the SLO Sheriff's department. The reason why he was unhappy was because he was the one who helped write up the search warrant and the whole reason he did so was because he wanted the concrete in Susan Flores' backyard dug up.
He had information that the concrete was poured within days of Kristin's disappearance. 'It was a lost opportunity', Dennis" he told me.
That was in the year 2000. With the information law enforcement had at their disposal back in 1996 - it is reasonable to take the position that the June 20th search was four years too late. I say that because - from what I have been told - there was no big tip that came in 1999 or 2000 that led to June 20th, 2000.
Remember - these are not just dates on a timeline. These are days and nights of searing sadness ripping at the very core of the Smarts family.
Earlier - I used the term 'massive crime'. And this is what I was referring to:
2001 - 2002 - 2003 -2004 -2005 -2006 - 2007.........
Years, years and more years are just rolling by and no action is being taken by the SLO Sheriff's department to dig up the cement on Susan Flores property. If you believe the FBI (and I do) then that is what the judge ordered when he/she signed off on the warrant.
By the way - it wasn't the SLO Sheriff's department that finally dug up the yard on May 23rd, 2007. Believe it or not - it was a team of current and retired Law Enforcement professionals from out of towns that literally took time off from their jobs and drove the 5 hours to SLO do what the local authorities simply refused to do.
They did so without a warrant. Susan Flores finally gave permission.

How did they get on Susan Flores' property?
Enter Lawyer Mark Connely.
Finally.
Mark is from the San Luis Obispo area. The hideous Flores family have actually sued the Smarts complaining that their poor lives have been disrupted. They are suing the Smarts and myself. The Smarts then needed a lawyer and Denise told me they interviewed several but decided to go with Mark Connely because he most reminded them of Okorie Okarocha - the attorney who has stood up for me for many years now.
Turns out they made a great selection because Connelly is moving mountains - finally. I do not know all the details - but he was able to negotiate with the Flores camp to allow the dig to take place.
What now?
So now we know for certain that Kristin is not buried where the GPR anomalies suggest she might be. It is important to note that that does not rule out Susan Flores' yard completely - although we now all realize that the odds are greatly diminished.
The massive crime I refer to is all the complete 'unnecessary sadness and heartache' the Smarts had to endure simply because SLO Sheriff's refusal to carry out the warrant back in 2000. I myself have not seen the warrant but I am in possession of emails from FBI agents who worked the case and told myself and the Smarts what the true purpose of the warrant was.
Obviously - no one thinks that SLO is intentionally trying to lather up the misery on the Smarts - but their inactions have certainly led to alot of needless sadness.
This is not only my opinion. If it weren't for some very dissatisfied law enforcement professionals out of town - the yard still would not have been dug up to this day.
I guess the next obvious place to take a very hard look at would be Ruben Flores' home. SLO did search his home early on - but they never took GPR to scan his property.
